bookstores in the city generally suck… way overpriced and slim pickings. I love used bookstores in the burbs… you know, the ones in the backsides of dinky strip malls or in converted industrial areas… it’s a PH/BG family tradition to hit up these bookstores on Black Friday… once again, they did not disappoint…
this was published not too long ago… it was literally like 50 pages… so sad. Pre-internet boom, if you were “artistic”, your real world choices were limited to such unglamorous jobs such as typestter, copywriter, art teacher etc. it’s only in the last 10 years where “artistic types” have started making loot in the corporate world.
always amazed to see how many self-defense books were published. worth it alone for the title…
