i am no means a sneaker head… i’m more in the vans, plain adidas mode. went to Paragon and Boy Genius forced the new Air Max on me… at $160, i refused thinking that was like 3 pairs of vans…. and i don’t buy shit with silver on it. he felt so strongly about it, he ended up buying me the pair…
i must give it up to BG though… wearing these things is like walking on clouds. the technology has come so far, the last pair of running shoes i bought was the Air Max 95 around 97… those in comparison feel like heavy clunkers. it’s the similar feeling to when i upgraded my Mac after 5 years… this is changing the way i look at footwear…
stopped by my friend Suzanne’s studio to check out her killer paintings… she showed me the techniques to achieve the visual effects… super-inspiring. i wish i had the patience to create something like this….
traveling around the city, you see some cool elevator button panel designs. this one is one of my favorites. great use of such a delicate, modern typeface.
walked by Sotheby’s nyc hq for the first time. This place takes up nearly a block of prime UES real estate. I was thinking how this place is just a retail company on roids, pulling the strings of supply and demand on a grand level… pretty impressive.

i never really forgave Tarantino for Jackie Brown… that was one of most disappointing movie-going experiences in my life… but this might be the flick that gets me back.
also tickets went on sale for this… Hammerstein is the perfect venue to see them play and i’m feeling the album performance format that’s getting popular these days…
lastly, at my Fantasy Football draft I had a colossal meltdown at round 5… i’m too embarrassed to tell you who i drafted, that’s how bad it was…. I immediately started chugging beers, which only made things worse…. however, I pretty happy with Jones-Drew and my receiving duo of Jennings + Colston… and IDP lineup of Beason, Vilma, and Weddle… don’t be like me.
