More from Black Friday RSD 2016! We’ve got another strong batch here, and the UGX x Outcast Texas-shaped die cut of “Int’l Players Anthem (I Choose You)” is just so dope. Comb & Razon Sound’s compilation of RARE Nigerian gems, Calabar-Itu Road – Groovy Sounds from South Eastern Nigeria, is also essential, and for the first time ever, we’re blessed with some deep James Brown material on James Brown’s Funky People Part 3 Vinyl 2LP. Speaking of funk, Isaac Hayes’ epic “Do Your Thing” is on vinyl for the 1st time, and the Afrocentric, “hip-house” 2nd album from the fun and conscious Jungle Brothers, Done By The Forces of Nature is deservingly put on double LP, you guessed it, for the first time ever. The pretty clear pink vinyl in the middle captures an evening with the legendary jazz musician Ornette Coleman, and finishing out this funky bunch is 180g pressing of live recordings (recorded at Monteral’s rising Sun Celebrity Club in 1978), from the trumpet legend Chet Baker, limited to just 4000 copies worldwide.
