Arturia introduces an all-analog drum machine w/ powerful, intuitive sequencing capabilities, and the standalone unit, to the delight of many, is priced at under $500. With vintage percussion units going for a lot of money, brands like Roland have introduced newer, more economical options (check the Roland Boutique Series – TR-09, TB-03, VP-03, and Arturia’s entrance into the market is certainly a welcome addition to the trend. The Drumbrute is equipped with 17 distinct, fully analog drum and percussion instruments, and it offers hands-on, wide-range editing control for each sound. The sequencer can handle up to 64 patterns (each w/ 64 steps), and it houses a Stein-Parker output filter with bypass for more sound-shaping options.
