I have tons of questions besides the obvious what is the price. First does it need its own power source or does it run off the USB on the computer. Is the software ran from the computer or is it inboard on the MPC system? Will so software run in window or will it take over you computer like Tracktor does?

Also will Akai release a similar software to you use with their MPD products? Well I know the answer will come eventually, but those are the ones so far.

Akai is just as wondering as we are about the price. They are waiting and scanning our emails and all the sites on what they should sell it for. Tough battle with the NI Machine out there for only $600 or under US dollars(myself $520 new online, works perfect with Komplete7), with plunty to play with and easy of use. Yes the Machine is half the size of the MPC-R and yes the MPC-R has some nice in’s and outs. But, across the board the Machine can hold it’s own hands down, so this hyped up pretty new big box better have a fair price of $1000 and under, it’s got it’s work cut out for them, because simply put, every producer I know thats been around the block twice and making music world wide and in the know has an NI Machine already and HAD, Yes, HAD an MPC something once or twice and have moved on. No doubt even myself i have an MPK, APC as others the same, so let the games begin as Akai has a rebirth of gear, lets hope they please their crowd along with our wallets in mind. For sure the quality is a must by thier standards, so lets see how many they really plan to sell with their PRICE or NameTag$..
