Just got back from miami art basel. if you gave me a bus to paint, I would climb to the top and just tip over 60 buckets of paint.
The night started off at the Catalina. There was 8 parties going on at all times. from Cody Chesnutt to Yoko Ono to Clap your hands say yeah to some ill electro bass parties.
Friday night ended at Revolver. Is it true the bigger a douche a promoter is, the more peope wanna go to your party? Probably-cause I wanted to go-and i loved it!
Especially the after party in Miami Shores. (land of gunshots and gays). Pushin’ Sparks til 10am.
The next day was a show at the Adidas store by Harif Guzman & Ricky Powell. Ricky kept asking me to play some “serious cerebral shit”. I didn’t know he was into Autechre like I was…Props!
I try to keep shout outs to a minimum (you’ve gotta be on some pat sajak shit) but this is how all the big promoters are getting around these days. Here Joel M shows off his butter OM Flyer. (a relative of the PK Ripper) It’s worth more than the Dodge Colt I used to own (but not my trunk full of JL subs of course) More importantly, he’s wearing all black.
Crupi Cages and Redline Flights are a must. (isn’t this so much better than football?) The best thing about high end bmx parts is that they were always someone elses at some point., or just plain stolen.
