Italians Do It Better Reissues on Colored Vinyl

Desire II Green Colored Vinyl LP

Excellent 2009 release from Desire, the Montreal group produced by Johnny Jewel. The moody cosmic disco sound of II still sounds great, and let’s not forget how perfect “Under Your Spell” was in the film Drive.

Chromatics Kill For Love Split Colored Vinyl 2LP

Another fine LP from Italians Do It Better, Kill For Love by Chromatics, is also back on split colored vinyl. Production is also handled by Mr. Jewel, and the emotive rock of “Lady,” “Back From The Grave,” “These Streets Will Never Look The Same,” and more are as #MOOD af as ever.

Johnny Jewel Lost River Soundtrack 180g Colored Vinyl 3LP

Lastly, here is the soundtrack to Ryan Gosling’s (seen La La Land yet?) directorial debut, Lost River. Once again, Johnny Jewel is behind the music, and the eclectic, vintage vibe is created with help from Chromatics, Desire, and Glass Candy.

The Rolling Stones Reissues

The Rolling Stones Let It Bleed Colored Vinyl LP

Going strong since 1962 and getting better with age! The Rolling Stones are true living legends, and here’s a round-up of recent reissues of choice selections from the band’s catalog. Originally released in 1969, Let It Bleed is heavily influenced by gospel, blues and country, and the album contains classics like “Gimme Shelter” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” This is the 2013 reissue of the LP, fully mastered and pressed on 180g clear vinyl.

The Rolling Stones Exile On Main St. 2LP

Exile On Main St. dropped as a double album in 1972, and it contains favorites like “Rocks Off,” “Rip This Joint,” “Shake Your Hips,” and “Tumbling Dice.” Widely considered one of the best works from Stones, the 18-tracker also finds itself on plenty of “greatest of all time” lists. Jagger, despite his “boredom” with rock & roll, is in top form, and Keith Richards shreds away with some of the rawest playing to be recorded.

The Rolling Stones Some Girls 180g Vinyl LP

The year was 1978 when The Rolling Stones released Some Girls, and disco was in full swing. In response, and as a result of Jagger being somewhat blase about rock & roll, the band incorporates bits of the glitzy genre into the album. The move ended up being very well received, and in addition to a Grammy nod, tracks like “Miss You,” Shattered,” and “Beast of Burden” continue to receive love.

Massive Attack Reissues!

Massive Attack Blue Lines 180g Vinyl LP

Three seminal trip-hop releases from one of the main architects of the genre, Massive Attack. First up is the Bristol group’s 1991 debut, Blue Lines, which sees a proper 180g reissue. “Unfinished Symphony,” “Safe From Harm,” “Be Thankful,” and more are all here, complete with printed insert and a digital download card.

Massive Attack Protection Vinyl LP

Also back in print is the trio’s 1994 follow-up Protection. Another classic that defined the downtempo sound, tracks like “Karmacoma,” “Weather Storm,” “Spying Glass,” and of course, the title tune, still offer much to be enjoyed.

Massive Attack V Mad Professor No Protection Vinyl LP

The last of the Massive Attack reissues is a re-visioned edition of the aforementioned Protection, and the Mad Professor dubs out the album with mixing board tricks that make No Protection Vinyl LP a classic in its own right.
