Queens, 1980. My dad's band Babe (yep, named after the Styx song) was playing four nights a week in Jersey City (he is about my age then). Their lead singer Edwin has a magical singing voice with an uncanny resemblance to that of Christopher Cross. The band decides to run with it and covers "Ride Like the Wind" and "Never Be the Same" which become some of their biggest crowd-pleasers. My sister and I are in the back covering our ears.
