File these guys under "cool motherfuckers." I don't know what it is but I always get hyped when were on the same bill or I see them walk thru the door. I went by their (lucky duck) ultra plush Dumbo studio a few weeks back, when the heat was still giving those "I can't believe I came all the way to Brooklyn" wannabe model types something to sweat about. They switched up the style a little since the last CD the Lab was selling and it's all good. Now were looking at some Baile-Big Room? I don't know what to call it, but they played a bunch of it on the show and I think you'll like.

I also decided to put a little more work into my show than usual and dropped the "Out Of Africa Mix" for you. The only reason I called it that is cause it starts with bongos and ends with bongos, whatever I like.

Been meaning to recap some of the parties I've been up to lately... so here goes.

UNEMPLOYED LLOYDS' B-DAY BASH? What a bash it was. Sorry no pictures cause were too cool for that shit. It was so much fun that for once we were content without having to after-party (except sTERRYo who somehow ended up getting a second degree burn on his foot from bacon grease at like 7am, homie's still laid up in the bed with one of those Velcro shoes). Best memory of the night? Neal Nice falling "asleep" at the helm while djing and later apologizing to Lloyd that he never got a chance to spin. Hahaha you spun for like a half hour motherfucker!

ANIMAL PRINT PARTY (MIAMI)? A couple trips to Miami ago Jake Jefferson and I came up with the genius party theme of "Animal Print." It brought all those wild South American Chiquita's out in droves with some of the hottest outfits we saw all summer. There are a lot of pics around but this was my favorite (headbands by you know who).

RONSON'S B-DAY PARTY (LONDON)? I flew out to the UK to honor my good mate Mark on his 33rd B-day last week. Set in a mansion one-hour out side of London, this was like the party of all parties if you're into the 'epic' sort of thing. The theme was "dress as your favorite album cover." You know English people, they're so fucking clever, some of the costumes were brilliant. For me the cake went to a guy who dressed like the Stone Roses LP by covering an all white outfit in Jackson Pollack-esque paint splatters. I was kind of late to the game so I was gonna go as one of the Jungle Brothers (cause I had to shop for everything in the Dalston area, where African medallions are still available in large quantities). After I had gotten my whole costume together, Prince Terrence calls and says him, Santi and Naeem need me to be Ice Cube to complete their NWA (luckily that kit wasn't hard to find in Dalston either). After spending literally an entire day on these two costumes Naeem decides to show up as Santo Gold and the whole group thing gets fucked up. Fuck it at least I wasn't Eli, no one even told him it was a costume party. Here's Santi (Eazy), Lacrate and I.

Speaking of Lacrate here's a funny video thing about him and B-More, I might have to go on record (maybe the first) and say this guys alright with me.
