New Lab Radio! - Feeling all these eclectic jams this week. We put some of Madlib's latin jazz project on there, along with some awesome nigerian rock, classic disco, rare indian psyche, neo soul and more. It's quite a buffet plate of sound.

F- all that politics talk. I don't bump into Obama at Tompkins, see Hillary or "McCain Fries" making any guest appearances at The Lab. Hell, I don't get any advice from any of those suckaz! So with that said, here's my observational guide to TAKING '08: 1. Steppin' up your Epic-Nonchalant Picture game. OR 2. So after I got off work at Teddy's (name drop) last night, i headed downtown to this Harvey/Sarcastic party to meet Pube$ & Road Manager Barry. By the time I got there it was already like 2:45 and Pube$' punk "my moms in town" ass was already talking about bouncing. Since I paid $20 to get in I said fuck it and stayed to listen to the legend.... Cut to one hour later and I'm in the middle of the spot dancing my ass off all by myself, no friends, no drugs and no alcohol! To be honest I don't really dance that much, but last night I had no choice. I spent nearly three hours dancing by myself as Harvey maneuvered between three turntables, a reel to reel tape machine and a Bozak mixer (I'm assuming). Why am I writing this? TIME TO STEP OUR GAME UP PEOPLE! For the last time it's not about photo shoots, headphone endorsements, who's the best at scratching, how many B-More remixes you've turned out, who your booking agent is, what hotel your staying at, etc. It really is about the music and giving the people a feeling they'll always remember and turn to when life has them trapped.* -Raver Jemz *unless your just another top-forty dj, than disregard this post, your good.

I know somewhere out there, somebody's laughing. Mon through Thurs we have the best weather ever, only to have it rain every weekend for the last 3 weeks. It's Bullspit (ed. for tv). At least I can chill in with some of these new bangers... The 90's classic reworked by the man himself... For once, I feel C'mish on this one this is a Portishead dream box. and this Peroxide Comics from 2004 is still very relevant to NY today. It's also very Free. I like the bit on the St. Marks flyer guy. It feels good that we can hate together. Also, I feel you Roc. That song is the realness(where's the Arman Van Helden Remix?). Way better than the ATCQ version. "Can I kick it? Yes, We Can." Cheeeeeesy.

There are women downstairs at the park, in bikini tops, reading books in the sun while I write this. Just thought you'd like to know... Here's the best of the newies: Santogold Justice V/A and of course... Spank Rock I like Fuct 'cause they're for the people. Daytrippers, 80's funksters, and herbalists apply here... Obey gets the ball rollin' for summer. This necklace is on some "James Bond goes to the disco" shit right here(comes with a secret compartment) and for all those that have an addiction for breaks, may I introduce to you: Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go downstairs and put these to use. More coming soon...

Diddy honored with a Hollywood Star
"I'm a definition of how to build a brand and a 360 model. I feel like I'm the definition of that," Combs said. "This new concept that people have, I've been doing it for years. Creating a way out of no way, making lemonade out of lemons, that's what I do." "So if the music industry's getting cannibalized by the Internet, I figure out how to work with it, I figure out how to survive. You throw me in the jungle butt-naked, I come out with a lion's head, some bearskins and a bunch of food. I may be driving a Maybach."
