cold, hard american steel. this stack of elevator weights has been in our hallway for weeks. i always try to see if i can move it just an inch, but it's immovable. maybe p-gorgeous could move it with his mutant calves.

i have found it: the nicest public restroom in new york city (restaurants not included). this one is semi-hidden in a shop in flatiron. you won't want to leave this cocoon.

comes equipped with... remote control toilet... make it pulsate.

ray and the hamburger eyes crew are everywhere right now! good thing we got a show in with em.... they currently have a exhibition at powerhouse gallery in dumbo, so go check it out...

i also went to check out Cut Copy, but at Mercury Lounge... they were pretty damn good. aside from the traditional instruments, they used one of those akai midi-pads to trigger all their samples. pretty awesome to see them re-create the songs from Bright Like Neon Love. "Zap Zap" was definitely the highlight of the night... that song is wicked live. oh, and the lead singer has one of the hardest head shake moves i've ever seen...

went boarding with Sabo last week up at Hunter. dude is a major SHREDDER. it was one of the best times i've had snowboarding even though there wasn't much snow. when boarding with this dude, you're forced to push it to the limit. he also has good tang stories...

went to see Michna play trombone last nite at nublu for his birthday. apparently, he has orchestra level trombone skills and could have played professionally. he killed it.

Personally, I like strawberry and mixed berry, but you can sample the new exclusives by Kid Cudi, Fully Fitted, Count Of Monte Cristal, and tons of reggae heaters. Fiyah haffa bun!

been re listening to this album lately, there's only a few cuts I like on there, this being one of them. But, if you are a Richard Buckner fan its worth checking out. There are lots of interesting facts about Buckner which have become somewhat household jokes around my place.
- He's been described as a recluse, a nomad, and a troubador.
- he'll fluctuate in weight and looks. in some pictures he looks like Jesus and some he looks like Cougar Melloncamp.
- Does a lot of touring absolutely solo (just him and his truck) and uses guitar effects very well (ebow, loops, etc) and carries them all in a red toolbox. (my roommate had a framed picture of just the red toolbox)
- If you ever start boxing, most of his songs can be used for training rounds. you punch at 130bpms for about 3 minutes.
- He's so obsessive about making music that he bought a Playstation for self help, to try to learn how to do something else. He never played the playstation.
- He doesn't talk (to the crowd) when he performs, not one word.
- He's notoriously cheap, (we think) when we met him he told us how after being dropped from MCA he records at home (on what sounds like a fostex 8 track) and told us how Merge "doesn't give advances" This is a shame cause I feel if he had access to a Neve board and some Neuman mics he could benefit from it greatly. Merge, give him an advance!
-and if you get the chance to see him solo (without the 6 parts 7)- do it, sometimes in the club everyone sits on the floor.

But when it was time for Gaslamp and Flying Lotus at the end of the night history was made. Yo Willie you gotta post that video!!! Give the world a taste of what Gina Turner calls “the Genius of our time.” Romes, you did it, the beats are bizack!!!

Yo WTF??? Why isn’t Cut Copy blowing up? People really prefer watching Justice barely use a CDJ than a real band like Cut Copy? Hands down my favorite group right now, live set, on a roof at dusk? “Hearts on fire I reach out to you tonight!” You can get the new Joakim remix for that single on their blog.
