OK I’m in idiot and you only have 3-7 days left to listen to this show. My New Years resolution numero uno? Get shit done on time. Until than, my suggestion is to make the radio show your home page, it’s that good.

THE GASLAMP KILLER

I recently found this clip of GLK in my iPhoto. It’s from one of the many great Stones Throw in stores we had back when you could still hear Rap music banging out of the LA store. Looking back it was a great time for all of us, so I thought I’d upload the video.

Gaslamp is hands down one of the illest next generation dj’s in the game. I like to keep myself surrounded by people who intimidate me, and no one does that better than Willie. Nothing makes you feel like an old man more than watching this guy destroy a set and have a room full of girls dancing their panties off to some instrumental b-side.

When we recorded this set he had just come off tour with the Dublab guys and had a box full of 7” Turkish delight to show for it. They were coming out the speakers like fucking Chinese stars.

SABO



This was the first time I got to seriously hang with Sabo and I must say, he’s easiestly one of the coolest dudes out there. His music description on Myspace includes “afro-beat, house & funk.” Usually I’d stay away from those three when they are being combined, but Sabo knows how to pull it off and how to pull it off sexy. I’m willing to go on record as saying Sabo is the most underrated Lab family member. Plus I’ve heard he keeps a supply of grade-A tang around, I love ‘um.

We recorded him right before he hit the airport after a long string of gigs in LA, so his set was kind of mellow. But it was a good, dubbed out mellow that would be perfect for a Sunday evening or getting your romance freak on. He dropped what ended up being the perfect ending to the year mix.

*As a foot note Haul was kind of making fun of me for having all this dance music on the Lab show, so my set was all below 100bpm this show.
