Lets continue on with the football theme of the week... I don't know about you, but I love interesting interpretations of penalties in football given by referees. Here is an example of one of the best ones ever, given the other day during a Maryland + NC State football game. Heres the play and interpretation by ACC referee Ron Cherry: Now I did more research on this, and it is an ode to Ben Dreith, an NFL referee from the '70's + '80's. During a '86 game btw the Jets and the Bills, a Jets player tackled Bills quarterback Jim Kelly, and then proceeded to punch him in the head several times. Ben Dreith's explanation was this.... We have a personal foul, on number 99 of the defense, after he tackled the quarterback, he's giving him the business down there, that's a 15-yard penalty. I love wikipedia + youtube.
