so...its time for a little story about "urban exploration" in detroit...

for those of you that aren't from the area or aren't detroit techno history elite, the packard plant is one of the oldest ford motor plants in detroit. they built a lot of the early engines there, made some ww1 engines for fighter planes, and, after it had long been abandoned (and its still abandoned - good job city of detroit!), its now home to some of the cities best graffiti (random photoset here / entertaining tour of the plant).

well, after its rediscovery by smart rave promoters, it turned in to THE spot to have a party at. many of the cities most history events took place at the packard plant. you name it, it was there - and it was fucking awesome!!!

anyway...apparently it is being used for other...umm..."interesting" activies when its not being bombed with spraypaint, hit up by explorers, or generally looking fucking ugly on the detroit skyline.

enclosed is a set of photos that some friends took. basically...if you can't deduce it from their reduced sized...they stumbled upon a gay porn being shot involving superheroes. i'm going to let that sink in for a second...

i am more embarrassed of this than any you can possibly imagine. i'm envisioning these guys going there trying to remember richie hawtin parties, too much acid, and walls of sound enlighting their youths...and they find this.
