Sunday was the last of the free Pool Parties at McCarren Park in Brooklyn. The Rub and the BBC played rackords and brought out their friends to do some raps. Kid Sister, the Cool Kids, Santogold and "surprise guests" Spankrock and Amanda Blank all played. It was a real soggy, real fun family reunion.

Inglish from Cool Kids found a disc of songs bootlegged off their MySpace. "I guess this means we 'made it?' What are these bubbles on the cover?"

Some girl said Amanda's look was "very Grey Gardens," which I had to look up on the internet. THE LITTLE EDIE BEALE OF RAP! Dude in the shorts is Benny Blanco, who produced tracks on the Spankrock EP that's coming out in October. It's real major.

Almost as major as Chris BBC's Panda Bear shirt.










No Cosmo (dude was in Helsinki) but Sammy Bananas (High Top Fades EP out on Fool's Gold this fall!) busted out the now infamous Rub banana costume.

Runners up in the fashion statement department: Santi's Jim McMahon blades and J2K's Freeway beard (dude is gonna fuck around and get put on the do not fly list.)

These high school Kid Sis fans all had their shirts off and were wilding on the waterslide. No R Kelly.

Rhianna jokes were plentiful.
