A-Trak and I posted up at Kanye's party for Graduation last night. Spectacle! He played the album in full, complete with smoke machines, Daft-lite strobe effects, and video loops (Akira, Wong Kar Wai, Old Boy, Tron, anime titties). The record was phenomenal, alternately triumphant and sad - I was not expecting how emo it was gonna be. There's not much in rap that's a precedent for this, experimental shit that still knocks. Anyway, enough gushing. The promo shades were major.
