Quite a long weekend. It started Friday night at Studio B with Chromeo... the place was rammed packed and my attention was totally scattered between sweating too much, watching Dave and Pee kill it and waiting 20 mins to get a cocktail... I spaced on taking any picts, sorry. So we left after they were done and dipped to APT to catch up with Egypt. He brought the peripherals this time around, 808, vocoder. Here he is with my man Justin, as PH mentioned, who is setting that schedule board up real nice.

Following day Jen Lyon, Doug from Downtown Records and myself hosted a little BBQ on the Gowanus Canal. Unemployed Lloyd came though and was spittin crazy game on Queen Majesty all afternoon. uh, she was definitely into it...

The owner of the spot had a little speed boat, and Jen convinced Doug, his wife Amy, Lloyd and myself to get on it. I thought it was gonna be a slow cruise around the Canal. I was mistaken.

We got on, and the captain, who was burning a huge spliff, turned around and told everyone to "hold on."

Of course, everyone fell over when he leaned on the gas... except his kid, who wasn't sweatin a damn thing. Lloyd almost spilt his beer.

Swear to god, we all thought we were gonna die. He was racing around the canals like a speeder bike on the Forest Moon of Endor. I nearly went overboard about 6 times and came close to losing my head twice on low overpasses.

We made it out to the harbor where it was mellow...

The Captain was hilarious! Aside from almost killing us, we got stuck in the harbor. He managed to jimmy the engine back on with a little duct tape and pouring some beer into the carborator. Always laughing, he was...
