Warning! I'm about to be name dropping like a motherfucker. If you aren't into that sort of thing, skip this post.

This year at Winter Music Conference, Scion put us up at The Raleigh, a super fancy hotel right on South Beach in the middle of everything. Last year, Eleven and Cosmo and I all stayed in one room at a Holiday Inn about ten miles ($30 cab) away. We felt like we were balling when Big Black Matt treated us to dinner at The Raleigh. This year my room service was $200! It was so worth it just to be able to dip out of the fray for an hour and take it easy.

Thursday afternoon we djed at the Scion Penthouse party at the top of the Raleigh with Andy Smith, MSTRKRFT and Justice. It had a crazy balcony that wrapped around the entire penthouse. Jay Simplefly, Spankrock and DJ Contra were chilling.

Thursday night we went to a dinner hosted by Giant Step, The Fader and Levis for the Mizell Brothers and a whole bunch of DJs including Danny Krivit, Jazzy Jeff, Masters at Work, Ed Banger dudes, Stones Throw dudes, King Britt, Vikter Duplaix, Gilles Peterson, etc, a block away at the Delano. The entire list and all the pictures are over at the Giant Step website. The Fader blogged about it, too.

Then we went two blocks up to the Turntablelab party and really got it in. The Shore Club has a beautiful pool surrounded by huge cushions where you can chill and drink under the palm trees. Unemployed Lloyd was mixing without headphones, Chromeo played almost lounge music, and Blu Jemz and Roger Yamaha were on that Second Cousins shit, playing a lot of bugged out dance music I could never get away with. We did our thing, then Egg Foo Young sealed the deal with a bunch of Miami Bass music that nobody outside of South Florida knows about. We missed Roctakon play because we were DJing outside when he was DJing inside, but we did get some sunglasses.

Friday we went to another Scion party, this time on a yacht with Masters at Work, Jazzy Jeff and DJ Haul spinning. It was pretty amazing- I wrote all about it over on the Fader website. Friday night I had dinner with the French Canadian homies A-Trak, Dave One and P-Thug, then met up with Cosmo, Dante Ross and everyone over at the Ed Banger party at Studio A, which was intense as fuck.

My wife Veronika flew in late Friday night to hang out for the weekend, which made me really happy. Saturday afternoon we played some music at the Remix Hotel / Mackie party, right after Chicago legend Roy Davis Jr, which blew my mind and reduced me to a babbling fanboy.

We'd been trying to do something with Mr Supreme for a while, so when Shore Club booked us for Saturday night and let us pick the other DJs, it was only natural
to finally make it happen. Dude did not dissapoint, throwing down one of the best sets I heard in Miami all weekend. Inside, our homies Sake One and J-Boogie held it down for the Bay Area. Sunday we were worthless but we powered through it, playing an intimate party downtown with Contra, Flosstradamus, Franki Chan, and Smalltown
DJs. I've been back in NY for four days and I'm still not fully recovered. But we never stop! NYC, check us out at the Canal Room with Shy Child on Saturday:
