If you go to Vienna, go to Flex (also in the summer you can loiter outside with 500 other people)

If you go inside you will hear one of the best soundsystems in Austria. The stage is made of concrete, and underneath is a tunnel of amps and subwoofers.


On any given night you will see this guy. Legend has it that he lives in Flex.

On FM4 Vienna broadcasts a huge spectrum of non commercial music, while America plays the same 8 songs 15 times a day.


Trishes and I got to play at a party for a zine called The Message. The venue was near Karlsplatz, so you had to watch your back for mega dirtballs lurking near the schnitzel.
