putting up Beer Fest the other day got me thinking about the
obsession I had with renting movies back in the 80s. From the
time I was about 8 till 14 or so I watched movies like a mother
fucker. There was a long (and proud) stretch where I could
walk into any movie store and could say "seen it, seen it, seen
it, seen it" to every single cover in the comedy + horror sections.

Anyway, these are two flics that got me started on the trail, both
rented in the same night for my friend's 9th birthday party:
